Fellow BFTer SLaF (sp?) and I hit UL on the north end today hoping to find something willing to play. Launched at Lindon and hit the bubble up first - nada, tried over by AF harbor - same story. Went clear over to the warm springs by Saratoga and finally managed a couple kitties. Beautiful all afternoon until the wind came up out of the north. That sent us back for Lindon as fast as the boat would go.

One was about 24" & the other only about 18". The small one was a really pretty fish & was just beginning to develop the big head. Hooked into one that at first I seriously thought was a snag for a second until it started moving. Thing was too damn dumb to hold on though so I didn't get a look at it.

I'm glad you made it out. That's exactly what I've been wanting to do, launch at AF and try the bubble up etc for whatever wants to eat my offerings. I might try it on Monday. I just need to get the boat out of cold storage! A couple of those 24 inch kitties for dinner wouldn't be bad either.

I too made it out to UL, but over at Lincoln Beach. Throwing jigs from the jetty hoping for walleye. But a 3lb channel cat hit my curly tail jig. I guess something is better than nothing. Did talked with a couple guys from the boat, they caught 3 walleyes and some white bass. [fishon]
