Sheep Creek, Mt. View w/ pics
#1
Kali and I fished Sheep Creek yesterday morning, but unlike last year at this time, they weren't active, and just barely bumping the bait. So, we went to Mt. View and fished off the dam. There were about 8 others fishing there, and only two fish had been caught earlier in the A.M. Those fish, however, were 21 and 22"ers! We tried in vain for well over an hour, and decided to try one last spot before heading back to Boise. We fished an area on the other end of the reservoir, but more of the same. We decided to call it a day at 2 P.M. when one of the poles went crazy. Pulled in a nice 18"er and then it was lights out until just after 3 when we limited with fish ranging from one 14"er, and everything else was 16-22". And, wow, did they fight. Perhaps the full moon had something to do with the late bite. My guess is that Sheep Creek was probably the same....a late bite. Mt. View seems to have larger fish, however. A long trip down, but well worth it. Mike
