cj on saturday
#1
Finaly got a nice Saturday. Needed to take the f250 for a drive before memorial weekend. I also lengthend the boat trailer and put on some side bunks, to help with loading.

We fished the north sided across from cottonwood. All I could find was two almost legal bass and two small bass. Then the wind got stronger and we headed in. We were using the ramp at jacks creek. Its a lttle rough, short, and drops off.

I trid.to drive onto the trailer but my lack of experience, wind and difficult ramp made that a challenge. Got it on but had to go to cottonwood ramp to reload the boat. Can't wait till I get this figured out.

The biggest mistake most people make when loading there boat is , putting the trailer in to deep . Adjust your side bunks so there is only a half inch of clearance on both side with the boat on the trailer . Hope this helps . Curt G.

I had the bunks just under water, like an inch and have the bunks at 1 1/2" so I can move them in and will. I am wondering since is a semi V (mostly flat bottom) how to keep things straight when it just start to get up on the bunks. Probably tighter on the side bunks should help that. Thanks for the help.

If you make it over this way again, let me know. I'll try to "hook up" with you.[Wink]
