looking at another site at WIllard information and I ran accross this -

Certificate of Decontamination are required to be filled out and displayed on all vehicles that have launched a vessel.  Failure to do so may result in a citation.
Â

being new to the state i figured id ask what this is all about and how i go about getting said certificate prior to driving my boat up there for some wiper action .

thanks guys

Two ways to do it, one they have a form you have to fill out at the launch stating you have either cleaned drained and dried your boat for so long or decontaminated it or it hasn't been on an infected water. Or you can get a year permit by taking an online training course. You can type the utah invasive species certificate in Google and it will get you right to it or wait five minutes and someone will post you a link. Later J

I was doing the math, ran out of fingers. Hey little twelve toes!

There a perm-a-post on the Boating thread. Word to the wise - just because they don't have forms at a launch for you to fill out does not preclude their willingness to write a ticket. Though I've seen trailer-rides parked this spring with no cert of any sort.
Needs to go take me exam and 'git 'er done!

I prefer Utah's approach to the Idaho - pay as you go, but you can still be ingernt - long as you feed the pig your 20. And there it's 20 per ride (float). Here - the form should be transferable, long as it's signed, sealed, displayed.

The test ain't always easy, but "open a new tab" for a cheat sheet, and re-tries are free. 'Taint no SAT.

Print 2 copies. 1 for tow vehicle, one on the boat. Good idea to save a copy also. Can reprint when, if ones lost or get so wet they turn to mush (like mine did last month cause the boat got rained in before I could cover it up) [:/]
