East canyon report

65 is open. Trolled EC today with pop gear and wedding rings, dodger w/ squid and rapalas. Fish were around 15-20'. Wind made it hard to troll. Caught 8 small bows. 8-10". Missed a lot. Picked up a fat 16" bow on a jig. My friend caught one trolling a rapala and one on a spinner closer to the surface. Saw another boat drifting with PB and catching fish. Good fishing for small fish mostly. Water is rising.. Stopped by the creek on the way back, it was high from the rain. Caught 6 bows with jigs i tied. No pics this time.

Did you came across this lonely float tuber by a chance [laugh]. Ya for me I manage about 10 bows in 5hrs as well many hit and misses. Few of them were 12" then a few were 13-15" nothing bigger. I swear the reservoir hated me today. Whenever I was in the cove wind level was low but when I hit the main lake it started to scream at me to go back to the cove. All I can say that it was nice catching something instead of sitting home for a last minute trip when waking up and seeing no dark clouds,,, that I was expecting to see when waking up [laugh].
I hope this wasn't you guys in the boat going pretty fast and make a huge wave pool ride [mad].

yeah i saw you out there. i was wondering what was on your head. I was in the lil 12' aluminum not going fast enough to make a wake. Main motor is having carb problems. Probably should have stuck near the ramp. I think that was the group drifting with PB that buzzed by, twice, if not 3 times. If i see you out there again ill cruise by as fast as i can with my loud smoking trolling motor and wave. maybe ill circle back and see if you wanna fish. haha
