Henery's Fork
#1
Anyone ever fish the Henry's Fork river on the North Slope? I have never been there, and was just looking at it on the map. I'm thinking about making a trip up in that area in about 3 weeks. Hows the fishing at the near by lakes?

I've fished it dozens of times but not for a few years now. It's always been one of my favorites on the North Slope. I tend to fish just south of the Wyoming Line. Lots of productive beaver ponds and a wide range of sizes of fish. Great dry fly fishing and plenty of nice spots to camp. I've never fished any of the lakes nearby probable because the stream is always so good to me.

Thanks for the info. Any particular flies work the best? What about spinners, do you ever use them?

The standard humpy, parachute adams, royal wulff, caddis all worked well. Hoppers when they're out. Never did anything but fly fish but can't imagine small spinners wouldn't work. It's a fairly productive little stream compared to many on the North Slope.
