Headed to Hyrum and have time to fish early morning and later in the evenings. Just want to catch fish. Suggestions and tips would be welcome

I've only ever fished it from a boat or on the ice. I do prefer the south side of the pond though. I have had pretty good luck with those green burkley gulp salmon egg looking things. Try sinking a few of those next to the shore...

Camping there?

Sometimes pitching around the bouys can work. Find some bass, trout, panfish. If you walk east from the boat launch to the shrubs and cars.
Lots of folks shore fish along the west dike, and south shore. There's a second inlet (Devil's Half) on the south side - along the mouth of that can be good.

Bobber and fly, powerbait, worms, spinners, plastics. All worth a try. I've mostly trolled for trout, or parked on the cars pitching for bass.
