It's very much lower provo and a very small mixed bag.
I hit the Provo between Lakeshore Dr. and Center Street on Monday evening. I caught a couple of decent sized browns and kept one. I only caught one white bass, but I've been craving white bass so he came home. First one of the year. It was about 10" and kinda scrawny. I pan-fried the white bass fillets with a little buttermilk and flour coating and they tasted great!
I switched back and forth between Gulp minnows and husky jerks. All of the fish were caught on gulps, but I had quite a few fish chasing the husky jerks, and a few hits, but I didn't connect on them. I had a couple of very large walleye chase them, but not hit. I also had a decent sized largemouth on, but it threw the hook when it jumped.
There were a bunch of other people fishing, but I didn't see anyone catching anything, but it was more of an exercise trip than a fishing trip with all of the walking involved.
My son insisted on adding the t
ie to the pic for a size reference.
