Deer Creek help please
#1
I'm taking my boys to walls burg to camping with a group of people. But I'm headed to D/C to get some fishing in. I wish I had more time to do the thing I love. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time anymore. We will be fishing from the bank. Do you know of any areas that might produce something? My boys range from 3-8 I would love to hopefully see them catch a couple fish. So they can grow to love the sport. Any pointers/tips etc… is always greatly appreciated. THX in advance for your time and response.

If you got around the rocky slops you could easily catch some bass with worm and a bober or maybe a small tube jig. For trout they will be in the deep water by now. That's all of the bait fishing knowledge I got after only fly fishing now.

If you go pass walls burg to the first free parking spit on the left side while going to the island could produce some bass or even on the south bend of that marina by the island.

Good luck [Smile].

Walsburg is a good place to fish. early in the morning you can get rainbows shallow. All day is good for smallies and the occasional crappie. Been fishing there a lot lately.

I've always been a fan of watermelon seed. Pumpkin is a good option though.

Just wanted to say thx to those who advised me. Unfortunately we got to the camp site to late to get any fishing in. Then the group breakfast was @ 9. Do timing wasn't good for us on this short trip. We tried wallsburg for maybe 1 hr. No luck. Took the boys to Vivian pond on the way home. Managed to catch a couple. Again thx for your willingness to help
