So for camp this year I decided to take the kids to OSU in Corvallis. Mostly because the beavers are a a consistent top ten team, but mostly because the majority of the team loves to fish as much as I do. We drove all the way to the columbia and camped in the dirt in sleeping bags. Well, most of us fished the better part of the night.
Three kids had fish before I could even get my pole put together and a catfish rig tied on.

Once it got dark we got a few hits from a mystery fish!
A few of the kids caught ones that were quickly returned to the water.
The next morning they got me up at five and we caught a bunch more smallmouth and another nice sturgeon.
