Well we struggled today. Both Gloria & I came home skunked. I am going to blame it on the boat trolling motors battery, no charge. I have it on a solar charger so IT never checked it. Ended up being corrosion, I hope.
I did find out that the boat trolls at around 2.5 a little fast. I tried to work the shore line like I like but struggled. Sure have a lot to learn about fly fising from a boat. Talked with a pontooner fly fisher who had a great day.

If there is wind just troll your flies using the wind to push the boat across the hole. I usually use type 3 or 4 line for trolling.

Do you snag up often? I know with the walleye you need tobe near the bottom. We did drift with the wind and I used the motor to adjust the drift
