I'm heading to Seward on Saturday for work but will get two days fishing out of Seward. Has anyone else been up there recently? How's the fishing been if so?
Hoping to bring back some halibut and salmon for the family.

I lived in Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula for 23 year. There are plenty of halibut charters our of Seward to take you fishing. You may even find some kings or silvers to troll for as well as other fish like yellow-eye or black rock fish.
The salmon run is still going well on the Kenai river and you may find some good fishing south of Seward by the Moose River inlet or farther south down in Soldatna.
Have fun and enjoy your time there. This is a beautiful time of year.
Also, pick up a tide book at a local store. There are some minus tides that weekend and into the next week. Great time to head down to Ninilchik and Deep Creek for some razor clams. You could probably find some good steamers there in Resurrection bay.
