Offshore Adventures said the weather had been great for fishing.
Anglers caught a total of 1,300 pounds of fish on a private charter. They came back with lots of beeliners, nice shark, good-sized blacktip shark, dorado (the largest weighed in at 23 pounds), and barracuda as well as lots of blackfin tuna.
The trips to state waters for red snapper continue to go out Tuesday and Friday, he said.
One lucky angler going out of Deep Sea Headquarters Sunday caught a 158-pound mako shark.
Anglers continued to catch kingfish, Atlantic sharpnose shark and vermilion snapper.
Those on the long trip that came in Sunday had loads of "very nice" yellowfin tuna, the biggest weighing in at 102 pounds. They also caught blackfin tuna as well as amberjack.
Dolphin Dock said that fishing has been pretty good.
The 30-hour trip ending Sunday could have been called the big fish trip. One angler caught a 40-pound kingfish and another landed a 46-pound amberjack. One fisherman brought in a 275-pound mako shark. They also caught blackfin tuna.
Over the weekend, a trip resulted in kingfish, shark, amberjack, vermilion snapper and blacktip shark, the largest weighing 118 pounds.
On a 12-hour trip, an angler brought in a 91-pound yellowfin tuna. The catch also included a 125-pound shark.
Woody’s Sports Center said that fishing on the jetties is resulting in catches of trout, sheepshead and redfish.
Back in the bays, the private charters are still catching redfish and black drum.
Until the last norther dirtied the waters, the flounder giggers had been doing well.
