Lost creek road
#1
Anybody been out to lost creek lately? If so how's the road? Last I went back there it was a pot hole jungle.
Just hooked up a new to me boat and don't care to rattle her with a bumpy ride.

I drove the rode all the way to the reservoir just on Wednesday. There is some fresh asphalt for the first couple of miles where they've recently patched the pot holes. As of Wednesday, they hadn't finished all the way up to the reservoir, though, and the last couple of miles was pretty bumpy. I wouldn't say terrible, as long as you watch out; I was still going about 35 (but I wasn't pulling anything). They may have finished by now. And there's no traffic so you can pretty much use the entire road to weave around the pot holes.

Beautiful area--that was my first time there. Have fun if you go!

[#800000]My last trip up there was a week ago. When we got to the launch, I found my $1,200 HDS7 hanging off the dash by the 2 cords. The ruff road had shaken all 4 screws holding the base out of the dash. It will be a real challenge to make it all the way to the launch without hitting some of the pot holes and possibly causing some damage to your boat package.

It is nice to have a quality fishing lake sans the power squadron and jet skis, but be prepared for a long, slow drive to get there.[/#800000]

Haven't heard much from you lately Scott, hope you and your wife have been getting out and fishing this Summer. Here is a link to a post I made last week about LC: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gfo...ead#unread

I feel the road would be better off not being paved if this is how they are going to leave it. It is in poor condition at best and you really have to take it slow the last few miles to the dam. Sure is nice to fish at LC once you get there just don't be in any hurry.

Thanks my friend... And ya we've been doing our share of keeping the population in check. Just upgraded the Trophy and stretched it out to a 20' with a Cuddy.
We just got back knocking the Kokes on the head at the Gorge for our maiden voyage. Been trying to sell the Center Console so spending time polishing it up and getting her ready for a new owner.
