One can just imagine that man, "Life jacket? I ain't wearin' no damn life jacket!"
I wonder how many gravestones might feature that quote?

Sad news for sure. It just makes me wonder why folks would take such a small and under powered boat on such big water that is notorious for high winds. Yet I've seen it countless times.
One time at Sand Hollow my father and I were pulling off due to high winds, and there was a guy in one of those 8ft? Coleman "water troughs" with an electric motor preparing to take off into the wind and 2 ft waves with his wife and infant child! My first thought was that we'll be reading about this in the paper! Hopefully he decided against it. Be careful in those smaller boats folks.... it doesn't take much to flip them over. Fred K.

I had just left there at 1:00 yesterday and the winds were gusting really strong. That size boat has no right being on the water in those conditions. Especially without a life jacket on. PS, The fishing stunk all 5 days. Our total catch was 3 smalls, 2 rainbows and 5 kokes.
