E-Lake [cool]
Met fuzzyfisher and Portahomer. Good meeting you both. Caught 17 cuts in two hours. Biggest 17". Listened to my son howl louder then the wind. Fought for an hour to get my sled and auger back up the "damn" dam.
Mill Meadows[sly]
Caught 23 bows in 4 hours. My friend caught 43 out of one hole 10' from me. So a good day is relative. Good conditions, small fish. Fished in the arm that the road goes around.
Forsyth [crazy]
Got there in the middle of the day. Fished two hours, caught two splake. Did not stay long enough to really rate it or give it a fair report.
Rexburg Nature Pond [
]
I could not stay in the house during the Christamas festivities so I snuck out for a few hours to the local town pond. Caught 10 Perch and 10 stocker rainbows. A very good release from the Christmas "fun."
Island Park Res. [pirate]
Now I remember why I like Utah Icefishing. Island Park was COLD!!! 1 1/2 feet of slush on top. Fished for 6 hours near the dam. One bite and I know I only had one bite because I had my face glued to my new Aqua-vu that I got for Christmas. I got so excited when I saw the fish come in with its mouth open that I pulled the jig out of its mouth before it could close it. That was all the action that I had for the day. Hit the Rexburg pond on the way home to make myself feel better. Caught another ten stockers.
Fish Lake [
]
7 Perch, 8 bows, 1 Lake trout, see hedgsed fish lake for report
Millsite 1-2-04 [blush]
Fished in the North corner of the dam. My friend and I caught twenty each. We had a good variety of size and species. Bows, cutts, cutt-bow 4"-17". This is a wonderful little fishery I have never left millsite disappointed. If any of you are fishing hunington or E-Lake and not having a good day, go on down the road a little further to Ferron and try millsite. It did not seem to matter what we were using. I fished with a small ice fly tipped with a mealworm and my friend fished velveeta cheese on the bottom. We both had about the same amount of action.
One more day of vacation. Will my wife let me out of the house one more time? We'll see. She has been a good sport. In fact she has been with me most of the time. I am looking forward to meeting more of you in the coming New Year.
