fished the East end of Catalina late yesterday afternoon and early this morning looking for the elusive white seabass. We did manage to find some. Unfortunately the first one was so big we couldn't stop him on buttoned down 30# tackle and he got us in the kelp and broke us off. The next one that we hooked was a short and that was it for the seabass. Throughout the day, we did manage to catch one legal halibut and multiple calico bass though. The weather was great and the fish were biting. I sure thought that it would been a little better over there for the seabass w/ the full moon and the large tidal swings.

Still waiting for the seabasstards to bite!!!
