Bear Lake Black Friday
#1
Put in yesterday about 11:30 AM at the Bear Lake State Park Marina. It was a little breezy, but very fishable. For the most part it was slow despite marking plenty of fish and baits all through the water column. I worked a variety of baits, speeds, and depths until hitting on something that worked. I ended up with 3 Bear Lake Cuts, 23-25 inches, all in the last hour of fishing. I got them trolling a minnow behind a dodger within 10 feet of the bottom -- 50-65 feet. I am not an expert on Bear Lake fishing, but I understand cuts hanging on the bottom is a winter pattern. The landing was bone dry, and the drive through Logan Canyon was fine. [inline IMG_0576.JPG]
