Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
The fishing has improved on the big lakes. The levels are almost back to normal and the current has slowed helping crappie fishing. Most crappie have been caught on minnows from 15' to 20' deep. Smallmouth are good on Kentucky Lake on spinnerbaits and jigs. They have started moving to the bays to spawn, which is still a few weeks off. Noone is fishing below the dams because of the heavy discharge from the dams. Largemouth are still slow. Fishing should be considered fair. The fishing will also started improving quickly in the next few days when the lake levels get back to normal. The weather has been warm and sunny and has started warming the water quickly. Don't put off planning trips too long.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
