Aye, Mateys!
Me and some buddies made it up to the south fork earlier this week in swan valley. The fishing was great! we found lots of large trout keyed in on midges and baetis, and caught many on a #20 jujubaetis and #22 miracle midge fished in the film and also nymphed deep.
the amazing part was the giant rainbow that i caught! i was really surprised when I got it in, it looked really familiar! It was the very same fish that Jack Sparrow caught at the henrys fork! I guess it migrated down to the confluence and up to swan valley to feed on the great hatches they have up there! all in all, a great day, and the weather was even nice. we caught mostly cutties and a few spawned out browns, and the one epic rainbow! there is some really nice water that you can fish without even using a boat right around the swan valley bridge!
Merry Christmas everyone!
