I was on the east side by the docks a day ago. It was first thing in the morning and the ice was 5 inches thick. The fishing was awesome but the catching not so much. I was fishing in 25 ft of water btw. Looks like the ice melts slightly by the end of the day but re freezes overnight.

That woulda been nice, I didn't see much on my finder. I was there from 4am -7am (I know the time is odd but I work graves so I'm usually up all night) I'm guessing I was a little early but really Idk. It was just nice getting out of the house. I may try again in the morning if the ice is still safe

4-5 " at cemetery point. Slick on top, recommend cleats on your boots. Had several butt pucker moments, places look and sound worse than they actually are. Fished in 42' water, caught a few crappie. Light bite, hit it once and if you didn't hook them, that was it. Pretty darn slow catching wise!
