another winter bass

[inline "January bass 2.jpg"]
I caught this one on Saturday morning using a 5" maniac salt stick. I made a cast and was messing with my go pro and when I reeled in the slack the bait was a good 30 feet from where I originally casted. I grabbed my other rod with the salt stick and casted to the same spot as before, only this time I was ready...ha ha

Nice! I've been getting into them on my lunch breaks lately, with a big surprise as well.

Gulp Minnows.

Here's one of mine from last Friday at Pelican. No open water out here to find bass in. I'm surprised to see some open water action in a few places in the northern half of the state. Nice job.

Nice bass, guys!

I caught a winter LMB myself. It was a whopping 8 inch bruiser I caught ice fishing at Utah lake. I thought it was cool, but my kids kind of rolled their eyes and looked at me funny, entirely unimpressed because the crappie and white bass they just caught were much bigger.

Sorry, no pics. Sad

That's quite a can collection in that second picture. At least comforting to know someone is keeping all their recycling together in one spot so they'll know where they are come Earthday.

Haha it's actually a bunch of concrete cylinders. Not sure why they're there but they are.
