No one fished east canyon sat?
#1
There were hundreds of people out there...... Well, i had a great morning, after i moved away from whoever was chumming next to me. My finder screen filled with small lines slowly falling to the bottom, I looked out my tent, looked around, I said something, it stopped, while i was there. I left and found a spot all alone with fish on the finder. I caught a bunch, deeper than i normally fish. Possibly cause what they are feeding on is down deep. Measured a fattie male little over 17. Only time i wish they were long and skinny over short and fat.. ha!.. Lost a tourny placer at the hole along with a few more good fish.. Caught lots of 8-12" planters spring, summer, fall, but winter the fatties have come out to play. Warm and sunny day. Ice is melting fast. Few large spots of open water. 10ft plank is needed. Ice was good even with all the people on it. Fishing was fair for most around me, you could see how the fish were swimming through hitting every person down the line as they moved. I was 1st in line. Last i heard the top fish was just under 21. Gotta love EC! (minus the sheep)

We fished E.Canyon Friday and the tourney on Sat. We walked clear over to the west side away from everybody. Catchin was slow for us but my buddy did catch the only tagged fish of the tourney. Got an auger for his efforts. Glad they built their " offramp " at the boat ramp. The edges were toast by the end of that day.

Nice! I forgot to even look for tags, but i doubt i would miss it. I saw that fish just after it was checked in. You might have seen me with a bear dog pulling my sled..
