East Canyon
#1
East Canyon is clear to launch! There is only about an inch of ice in the bay around the dam, but 90% of the lake is ice free. The fish were hungry too! they weren't picky, hit every different pattern Rapala we trolled. Hit both on top and down 25' on the downrigger. In two hours we landed 11 and lost as many letting the kids have fun fight them. Most were healthy 16-18", with one 21" hog. No sign of anchor worms either, I wonder if its more of a later season thing?

Cute kid, she looks like holding that fish doesn't bother her at all. Yea, the anchor worm leave the fish in the Fall when the water temps drop below a certain temp. As the water warms the anchor worm comes out of the mud and gets into the skin of the trout once again. Not sure of the exact temps but the water needs to be warmer.
