Well we finally decided to put the ice gear up and cut the shrink-wrap off the boat. Launched out of the south marina at 8:00am to a beautiful blue sky morning and a perfect walleye chop on the water. Had two of my favorite people in tow, my father in-law and seven year old boy CT. Life is good! The morning started out quick having our first good walleye eater in the boat within 10 minutes, then another about 15 minutes later. After that is was time for the wipers. Not sure how many we landed but I would guess somewhere around 8-9. Couple more walleyes including a 23”, 4 lbs-9 oz. fatty what was landed and released by my father in-law. Prior commitments had us off the water at 11:45. Nice weather, superb company, fertilizer for the tomatoes and tasty dinners to come. All in all, a great day!
