I fished Lost Creek yesterday from my kick boat. I fished in the boat ramp arm from 8:00 until 3:00 using fly tackle. The ice is completly gone and the water temperature was 40-42 degrees with visibility in the water around 9'. I used a fast sinking line (#7) and size 4-8 crystal buggers and soft hackle flies in black/green, black/red, tan/green/pearl. Most of the fish were hooked in 15' - 25' of water within casting distance from shore. I caught mostly rainbows (three were last years planters around 11"-12") with one going 18" and the rest were cutthroats all between 15"-16" long. There were a couple of boats, one other tuber, and more than a dozen bank fishermen. Beautiful day on the water, calm early and only a slight breeze after 1:00. I spotted a little varmint on the bank and took it's picture but I'm not sure what it is. On the way home I got an added bonus of seeing a field full of wild turkeys. I've never seen that many in one place before.

Nice job! Those turkeys are pretty much residents of that private field [:/]

Fishin and Wild Turkey, not a bad mixture. Can't wait for the slot limit to start producing Strawberry quality fish only 45 miles/minutes from the Ogden Valley....
Just add some Kokes and the perfect fishery...

Berry sized, wake-less reservoir and Kokes would be the magic ticket for me. Wiper and Walleye in Willard, catfish on the bear, monster Gills at Mantua and Kokes in LC... What more could a local dream of?
Oh ya don't forget 50"+ Tigermusky in Pineview....

Great report and pics. After breaking through the ice on Friday last week I imagined it would not take long for the rest of the ice to clear off, but that is quicker than I thought. I guess this record breaking heat is helping. I may have to schedule an after work run up there in the next couple of days.
Those turkeys are multiplying like rabbits. A couple years back would see a dozen or so, now it seems like there are more than 3-4X that many. I think I have seen that mink critter on one trip as well.
