Took out my kick boat for the first float of the year! Headed over to Joe's Valley on Sunday. I mixed it up fishing jigs and throwing flies. The fish didn't seem too interested in my flies, but I managed to hook a few (only landed one) on jigs. Hope to get back there soon. On the way home I hit up a stream where I found some willing brownies.
There are more pics on my blog, if you're interested.

Looks fun! I'm hoping to get down there sometime in April. Did you notice a lot of chub? Just wondering if the predatory fish are keeping the numbers in check.

I love Joe's. Nice pics!
I had a lot of luck there recently with a white zonker, size 4, on sinking line. Haven't throw jigs around there yet, but my buddy did and did pretty well.
Good to see a healthy brown outta that stream, too. It's a great little fishery when you get some holdovers in there.

Sorry the fish weren't cooperating. Great little brown. Love the color effect you put on it.

I didn't see any chubs in evidence, and the trout seemed pretty healthy. Hopefully the lake is becoming more balanced.

When I get back over there I'll have to try some white zonkers! I do love that stream, it's always good for some lil brownies
