Went up to the Berry yesterday (Friday) and had a great time. Fished close to the marina and between my buddy and I, landed 18 nice fish. Two were bows and the rest were cuts. Only a couple were small with the rest of the ranging from 17-22 inches. I was impressed how healthy the cuts are this year. They were biting pretty good. We almost always had at least a bite when they came through on the finder. Can't wait to get back out there. I wonder how the night fishing is there.

I'd sure like to hit Strawberry next week. What were you using, how far down, lots of snow, how thick the ice, etc.? Welcome to the group, also.

We were using small glow-in-the-dark jigs tipped with a meal worm. We were in 27 feet of water. Most of the fish came right off the bottom but we caught several others at 15 feet and 10 feet down. When they would show up on the sonar we would real up to them and usually get a bite. There is alot of snow up there but with the roads plowed it isn't a problem. We avoided the snow by walking down the well traveled boat ramp and once on the ice the snow ranges from a couple inches to about a foot. The ice was plenty thick with about 6-7 inches being clear and 3-4 cloudy. There wasn't any slush because of the cold weather from this last week. There was one guy out there that was doing very well. I think he had found some structure under the water that the fish frequent more often. Does any one know were structure can be found around the boat dock area? Good luck next week MrLipripper. I hope you yank some big ones out.
