hit Willard today and boy am I glad I did, with great apprehension I braved to low pressure cold temps and Obama's motorcade, got the first line in at 11:00 am 2 minutes later I was reeling a small wiper in, alright game on. trolled down tournament alley almost to the island with no other bites headed back to where I started immediately hit and a miss, alright back on track headed all the way to the north dike 2 more nice wipers stayed on the same track all day fished till 5:00 pm no giants like last week but still got some very nice fish. Ended up with 1 nice crappie and 14 to 20 wipers I kind of lost count , not bad for a solo trip[cool]. shared the lake with travis (sotally tober )his boat did twice what mine did .hot lures were flicker shads in purple cougar and reverse cougar, also caught fish on the fire tigers.ok here's the but, fishing was great but it is necessary to cover a lot of water to produce fish. water temp was 53 when I started then it cooled down to 51 till I left at 5. dress warm it was much colder on the water than it seemed like it would be[pirate]. have fun it's a special year at Willard.
