Said I would give a report after I was able to get out, so here it is.
Saturday I went to Mantua (wasn't sure I would be able to find a parking spot at Willard). I have made some additions to the Yak and wanted to try them out plus I had a hunch I could find some Perch. I got on the water and changed my mind to looking for Bluegill first. In the process I landed three unwanted slimers. Before I could look any further the wind came up and I didn't want any part of that.
The wheel I made up to transport the Yak on dry ground worked pretty good.
Monday after taking care of some obligations I went to Willard. Wow! It looked like a week end. I made it out to the end of the dock where some one baked his boat into me. No damage but a bit annoying.
Started dragging jigs and within minutes hooked up with a Wipper that thought he was bigger than me. I kept working that area and hooked up two more times with Wipers, then a Crappie or two. That slowed so I moved on and caught more Crappie. Around 1700 I went back to the starting point and began working that area again with good success. I ended the day a 1800 having caught 1 Cat, 6 Wipers, 7 Crappie.
I wanted to stay and try to complete a limit of Crappie but needed to return home.
So thats my story.
