Does anyone know if they have a boat wash down at Deer Creek? It would be nice to be able to get your boat cleaned there...most won't wait the 18 days before launching again and many won't go hunt up a cleaning station on their own.

The report last night stated that there was a decon unit at Deer Creek. Don't know about the wait time or time it takes to decon. I believe that the unit is at the Island Ramp, not sure. You can call the park (435) 654 - 0171, to find out !!

I went to DC in January and they already had decon set up. Since I was one of 5 boats on the lake, so there was no wait. It took about 10 minutes to take care of my little 14' boat. longest part of the wait was waiting for the equipment to warm up to temp so they could wash the boat down and then flush the motor. I suspect that on busy days it could create a bit of a wait getting off the lake unless they get a bunch of equipment going to be able to do multiple boats at the same time.

There is a Decon station at Deer Creek State Park. It is near the entry shack.
Island Park ramp remains closed (or was last week... ) The Decon station has certain hours of operation that I'd guess are expanding during with the weather warming. [signature]

They also said they were bringing in one of the full size decon units to replace the little portable one that's been there.

How and what psi do they use to flush the motor?
I don't care if it is just a couple psi but I don't want some punk wielding a 1000 psi pressure wand trying to find a likely orifice to decon me! [signature]
