Cleveland on the fly
#1
A buddy and I fished Cleveland Reservoir today from 10:00 until about 3:00 from our tubes. The reservoir is full with water temperatures at 48-49 degrees. We used size 6-8 bead head buggers and soft hackles in black/green, brown/orange, and olive on fast sink and medium sink lines. The fishing wasn't fast but the fish that we caught were in good shape. All of the fish were rainbows between 14" and 19" long. There were a couple of boats and pontoons already on the water when we got there. Because of the poor weather the DWR hasn't been able to stock the reservoir yet so the fish are all carryovers from previous years.[Smile]

Looks like a great day and nice bows. I've never been to Cleveland, is it as big as Electric lake?

Thanks.

It was nice to get up and fish some higher elevation water for a change.

Cleveland is quite a bit smaller than Electric Lake.

Cleveland - 185 surface acres when full and 5,350 ac/ft.

Electric - 425 surface acres when full and 31,478 ac/ft.
