UL last Friday & Saturday
#1
I just realized that the post and report I made for UL last weekend, I made on the Premium Board. And I don't want to do an exact repeat, So I'll just say, I went to Utah Lake Friday19th, launched from State Park. Water getting towards shallow in the marina 2.5 to 3.5 feet until you get out past the buoys. And even then the deepest I found anywhere that I went was only 8 to 8.5 feet.
Seems everyone I saw was catching fish, and I didn't do too bad either. Caught 2 nice cats worthy of taking photos of. But not planning to keep them and nowhere to store them, I did the CPR thing and released them. Caught 2 respectable Walleye Friday also, one being the largest I've ever caught personally.
Well this trip was a 2 day'er. I went to Lincoln Beach Saturday morning, and between getting on the water about 8:30 and getting off about 2:30, I boated a couple bull head cats (released without harm) one white bass I used for bait all day (and didn't catch a thing on it) and 5 fair to middlin kittys. All released.
Bottom line, was first time Tin-Can had ever been on UL, and my first return to UL in 8 years. I caught fish, met another BFT'er out at Bird Island (MSM1970), and had an enjoyable couple days away from the usual drama at home.

Do you think I could join the Southern Team for the Cat Contest ? How about next year a "all waters" category, or a "free agent" determination..........[sly] Just kidding, but there are some hogs in UL

Yea, you got a real water lover there. My daughter is 20 y/o and going to have a baby in the next 2-3 weeks. She likes to fish, but hasn't been out with me in about a year or more.
I never even thought to spray down that WB. I have a bottle of Gulp Night crawler attractant in the boat, and forgot all about it. Maybe next time.

I hope I don't have to wait till next fall to get back to UL, but I can never tell. If I do plan another trip, I'll look you up and let you know.
