Burned the midnight oil at the bubble up last night. I wanted 1 trip fishing before I head back to work but did not want to fight the crowds. I got on water around 11 pm. When I was moving through the channel I realized I did not miss the crowds they were still there fishing in the channel. I moved very slowly as they were reeling their lines in as fast as they could go. I felt bad at first but then realized I had the right of way. Headed strait for the pay waters set up both rigs was fishing around 11:20pm. Hooked my fist fish around 11:22. Realized I left my net at home around 11:23. Frustrated the crowds in the channel again around 11:30 and again around midnight. Fishing again by 12:30. Cats were hungry. I finally started fishing with just 1 pole because having 2 on at a time was only cool for a minute. Then it was down right frustrating. Most were 23 inches with just a couple that might have been 25 inches with a good imagination.
Good luck to anyone heading out and may you enjoy it more that I did.
