hey I will be going to a work conference from September 22-25, and will have time to fish Sand Hollow. I was curious what works there. I am excited to go and want to be as prepared as possible!

Happy,
It really depends on weather. Do you have a boat? You may have to cover some water to find the fish. You can always do the traditional drop shot, shakey-head, Senko thing but I love throwing big crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs, and swimbaits.
Sometimes the dams will produce while other times you have to fish the breaks, or steep transitions from 8 to 20 feet of water.
If the weather is still warm then all should work for you. Dont forget the ever reliable texas rigged plastics.
If the weather turns and the your facing the first fall cold front then you may have to go deeper, but that's when the larger heavier baits (Cranks, Spinnerbaits, Jigs or medium soft, hollow belly swimbaits) seem to work.
I have had success fishing the fall at both Sand Hollow and Quail using these techniques.

I've been burning it up at Sand hollow every week for a few months...
If you want to catch a lot of fish drop shot is the way...My son has been tearing it up on Robo worms..It keeps him busy catching...Bigger fish are on swim baits, 4 to 5 inch will get some of the bigger fish..Lots of growth on the bottom right now in a lot areas so the jig bite can be tough if not impossible...The Wake boats and other water craft have me off the lake before Noon on the weekends...Sept should be much better..
