Don't want to over do the reporting but... did well at Lincoln today. No trouble launching and maneuvering around the buoy in the channel. The water is up. Depth in the channel was never below 1 ft. and averaged about 1.4 on my Minn Kota. Water temp was 62.
Caught one good cat and several others... calm and hot day.
Had one bite that hit so hard the braid draped over my little pinky took a nice cut.. and I missed him.[frown] No doubt it was the 35 incher I have been looking for.
Anyhows, this one tied my best of the year at 31 inches.
There is a bigger one out there...

Another great report. Wish I dared launch my boat down there, but I've done enough damage to my boats over the years attempting to fish water that I shouldn't have.

Nice fish Lynn !
Good to see you were able to get around the buoy and out around the island...........
Starting to really get pumped for a Friday outing........
I've got a date with a fellow BFT'er to launch out of that harbor. Looks as if it's fish ON come Friday.

Great job again! That is a beast. What's this about a buoy in the channel?
Keep up the great work!

Way to go BLK you are an over achiever aren't you? Leaving no hope of an upset. Very nice fish. I'll update the scores tomorrow. BTW keep the posts coming so at least I can dream when I can't get out on the water. Later J

Pisco-- They pulled the buoys in from the deeper water and apparently couldn't bring them all the way in. The red one was left in the middle of the channel about half way out. Last week there wasn't a lot of room to maneuver around a buoy but with the water a little higher I was able to get past it today.
I think launching will be doable now, at least with an electric. Good weather comin' for the next few days so fishing for bigger cats should be good... at least that's what a good friend told me.
Fish on.

BLK- Thanks for the update.
So, if it is a red buoy...they want us to go on the right side of it?
