I was trying to find out recent temperatures at the Berry. Anybody have a recent temperature for Renegade? Seems like Strawberry just wants to stay warm until the dead of winter.
Here's hoping the water gets COLD so the fish get crazy biting..

I was at Strawberry last Friday and the water temperature was 55.5 degrees on my fish finder.
There was considerable algae floating in & on the water.
The lake needs to turn-over.

Yesterday (Monday) I measured 57-58 degrees on the north end at CCE/Jakes Bay.

I was up on the Berry on Friday as well and as you noted, the floating algae was pretty severe. Do you all think that the lake being in this stage drastically affects the fishing? I fished strawberry the previous week with 2 other guys and we caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-40 fish, all slot cuts and 3 decent rainbows. This past Friday, a buddy and I caught 5 fish, all rainbows. We fished the same lures, the same way and in the same area. The 3rd rainbow we caught was 4lbs 9 ounces, but not a cut to be found.
