I'm planning on going somewhere this Wednesday but I haven't decided where yet. Was considering Yuba, Starvation, or maybe Strawberry. My buddy was at Starvation yesterday (Sunday) and said there wasn't much action (he was mostly duck hunting though). Anybody know what the boat launch conditions are at Yuba and how the fishing is? Any other suggestions?

The water is coming up, but it's coming up very slooowly. I don't think you can launch a boat at Painted Rocks, but....I haven't been by there for a while either. Unless it's come up significantly, I wouldn't try it.
I've not fished it, but those that I've heard that have fished it haven't been too impressed as of late, actually for some time now.
Carp had been schooling and sucking the top water but no sign of Northern's, Perch or Walleye for quite a while now.

Thanks for the reply carplips. Sounds like Yuba is off the short list. Didn't make it out today like I was hoping. Going to shoot for next week...

When did you see the carp up on top and if I may ask, where?

It was a few weeks ago when I saw the carp running on top water. Pretty good schools of them.
They were in the middle of the lake.....like across from the boat park, north west side. Kinda where the lake necks down and is narrow.
