Stream Access Ruling 11/5/2015

Hey. if you like putting words in people's mouths you should stick to verbal debate. You can see what I said up above your posts, this style of acting like you misunderstood the previous message and then replying as though something completely different was said only works when you can't reread the previous post in black and white right above yours.

The gun is so I don't get one pulled on me, and to prevent any other threats of bodily harm that may come with people who don't want to abide by the law. I'm not going to "pull a gun on some poor dirt farmer", I'm fully aware of my legal rights and the technicalities involved with stand your ground law statutes and will abide by them to the fullest extent. Maybe you yourself would point a gun at an unarmed individual? Otherwise you're just using high school debate team tactics to derail the argument.

Edit: of course I'd make every effort to be polite to the landowner, I'm not going to pull up in view of people's back yards, strap my gun and waders on and walk into the stream without a word, who would? However, having had the occasion to have an armed and Angry WIA land owner run up to me (due to a misunderstanding with his own neighbor, completely his fault) and start screaming about where I was parked, I've learned that sometimes when it's just you, him and the crows it might be a good idea to have a backup plan.

Finally, we're not talking about public access to private land. We're talking about public land, no private land involved. Riverbeds and streambeds are public land now. It sounds like you're a landowner yourself and in the denial stage of accepting that other people are going to start catching "your" trout.
