DC trip Saturday
#1
I hit DC Saturday with my father and neighbor. It was a beautiful day to be on the lake.

The first two hours were slow (3 fish) between 3 of us. We were fishing near the Provo inlet and just couldn't find areas with consistently biting fish.

My father had to leave at 11:00 so we dropped him back at the ramp then fished up by the dam.... much better numbers there. But the first three were the big ones.

We ended with 3 browns, 2 fat big bows, and 10 re-released planter bows at 1:00PM.

I'm guessing that was my last boat day of the year... but I'm not quite ready to give up yet.

Thanks for the report! I had a great time fishing DC last Fall. We had some of the most beautiful days on the lake at that time of year. Once we had the lake to ourselves, except for one duck hunter zooming around.

I'd go troll any of of the lakes here in Utah all winter long if I could. I consistently caught nice bows through Nov and Dec last year.

What I'd really love to do is go to Homer, Alaska in March and fish in the annual Winter King Derby. Last year someone won $27,000 with a 30# winter king salmon. Now that would be fun!
