Hit the lake this morning with the kids for our annual xmas eve tradition. Ice on SC was pretty thick right near the highway. Maybe 10 inches. However, we could see open water a short distance away. -2 degrees when we left the truck this morning, so it should be capped soon.
Fishing was slow. 1 hook up and half a dozen short strikes. Guys around us caught a couple.
Beautiful sunny day up here.

Did you drive all the way to the ramp or snowmobile in?

How far of a walk is it from the gate to the boat ramp?

The road is not plowed at all. You'd have to walk or snowmobile in the whole way from the highway.

How deep was the snow?
Like 4 wheeler accessible or snow machine required?

Probably at least a foot of snow. It got soft by noon when we left. I bet a quad would have a hard time in that soft stuff.
