My brother stopped there today. Said he found 4 inches at Swim Beach thinning to 3 as you moved towards the middle of the lake. Sounds like it's time to ice some fish.

I was out with a friend last night just after dark. We fished till 10 PM just south of the beach. The ice thickness was just over 5 inches. Caught several perch off the bottom- a few in the 8-9 inch range.

Went out Wednesday and had an awesome day. Any guesses on what I had for New Years Eve.

Wow, that surprises me cause I haven't ever heard of perch biting after dark. How deep were you fishing and were you by any chance using a light? Anyway, that's kind of crazy.

That is an awesome day for Hyrum, what is the average size of those perch you caught. They look like their pretty healthy, nice job. Did you fish morning or night?

15 feet deep. Took about an hour or so before they started biting- around 9 pm. Super light bite- had to be quick. Pink anything tipped with shrimp. They ignored everything else.

Just curious...When you say shrimp, do you mean the little canned shrimp, or chunks of fresh green shrimp?
