Confused About the Sound
#1
I would like to visit the Washington area with my boat in tow to try my hand at Puget Sound Halibut. As I try to read about the regulations it seems pretty complicated. So far I believe I have found that:
1. Most halibut fishing is in May only
2. There are like eleven or so fishing "zones"
Can anyone help me determine where I should launch and a general zone to fish. I have a 21 ft. Weldcraft with a 200 hp Verado so I should be able to handle some moderate ocean conditions. Anyone interested in going fishing with me to help me learn more about the Sound? I fish Ketchikan each summer for kings and halibut, but I have never tried Washington...by the way, you guys are really lucky to live in such a great fishing paradise.

Thanks.

Bob
