Just an FYI, we drove past Echo and East Canyon and the ice should be coming off soon. There was water on top of the ice, water around the edges and big cracks showing up. The ice looks to be rotting. Didn't see anyone out on the ice at Echo but a couple of brave souls at East Canyon. One group was just barely off the shore and left soon but another guy walked all the way across the lake and was fishing on the west side. I hope he made it back off safely.

I had to go to Salt Lake, Saturday. We drove by Echo around 9:30 am and there was a group just out from the boat ramp, and a lone fisherman further south, along the east side. When we came back in the afternoon, no one was fishing. A crack had developed all the way across, and as stated, lots of water on top down by the dam.

Bummer. I was hoping to hit Echo tomorrow. I'm guessing Rockport is also unsafe?
