I'm a little trigger shy now this is my worst month for fishing success so I'm trying not to rack up too many skunks. But I really want to start catching them too. Love cat wrassling. Later J

MEOW!!!

We need to get the contest in the works. I don't think most of us care about the prizes, more of just the trash talk and bragging rights.

I hope we have a team north to challenge you guys this year I might be that mouthy guy that finds out there's nobody behind him when he turns around. I think team south really rallied into a strong effort last year and we fizzled a bit in the north last year. I think the Cutler draining had the fish out of their usual locations and maybe fewer in numbers so it was a tough year, but the water is good this year and there was a good minnow crop last summer so I'm hoping the cats will be back this year so we can get some fish to be worthy of your challenge. I hope Utah lake will stay good so the contest stays as closely matched as possible, that's what really makes this contest great is both sides have an equal chance of big fish that could win this thing. Fun times for sure, glad to see the interest is still there. Later J

I guess that's up to you, I always enjoy how it pushes me to be better. Otherwise I probably wouldn't shake it up and learn anything new. I'd probably still be soaking a worm in the river channel hoping for a big one that if it came would be a fluke. It's much more fun to troll a minnow or soak a carp fillet in the dark and watch your lighted bobber take off. But that's just me, I'm a little crazy sometimes. Later J

Boy, you just haaaaad to mention lighted bobber in the dark........now I can't sleep thinking of those quiet nights on the marsh and hearing nothing but the night sounds, critters, and the occasional splash of big fish. Now THAT'S what makes fishing for catfish sooooo addicting! I really can't wait to start back at it.
