Rockport Help...Not secrets

I'm not trying to pry into your secret fishing spots at Rockport, but after driving by today and seeing a bit more ice than I want to launch to...Is there any general suggestions for fishing from shore. I just have a few hours and will try it tomorrow morning. Stuff like where do they dump planters, dam end or other end marina side or across, etc.

I am not sure it is legal, but if so, I might try an open water use of my ice fishing jaw jacker as I will have two poles out

I want to know the same information. Nothing really secret being asked here I don't think.

Right now everyone on the shore is reporting slow fishing but successfully not getting skunked if you use garlic/green power bait.

The latest update in tagged fish was on salmon power bait.


As for where they stock the fish... The only location they can do this is either at the river or at the launch ramp. Anywhere else would be really difficult to get the truck close enough I think.

As for your boat,... The ice is starting to break apart. I will be surprised if the whole lake isn't open by tomorrow night.
