Almost felt like I was driving the boat I to the oil fields that Sadom set on fire! lol, all the farmers West of Willard decided yesterday was a good to burn their brush piles. There is always a lot of this time of year, but it was a pretty cool picture when we launched around noon!
Another quick report...fished 3 hours with the rest of all the anglers in Utah. I don't think I have ever had to park the trailer so far away from the boat ramp! Anyway, wasn't real fast, but landed 8 wiper and 5 crappie. The good news was that the average wiper size was up a considerable amount from my last few outtings before this last storm! One big mama and a bunch of good quality wipers, no dink's like our average wipers a couple weeks ago. All trolling some normal spots at my normal speeds.

Thanks for the report.
From what I have been reading, it appears that the forecast of a windy day yesterday wasn't the case, and that a little wind would have been welcome to take care of the bug issues.

[#0000FF]Glad to hear you made it out and that both the weather and the fish cooperated.

I'm pretty sure those smoke columns were from "Frag" burns in the state wet lands. The feds also were burning.

Think the parking was bad, if everyone and their dog keeps bragging about all the action at Willard bay day in and day out every year your not even gonna have a decent place to fish out there.
Everyone on here that keeps building all the hiep about the fishing at Willard is simply ruining this fishery by causing over pressure on this place, THATS A FACT.
Im really discusseded with all the publicity that is being given to Willard all because someone thinks it's cool to announce every fish they catch. I've enjoyed being a registered user of BFT but I will no longer be, will the moderator of this sight please remove my registration.
Disappointed member,
Good Bye

Well, hopefully this helps...3 miles per hour, blk/silver rapalas, water temp 55-65. Fishing should be great for the next month or so, hope to see you out there!
