Hit Deer Creek about 8:00 AM Saturday morning. Only about 10 boats on the lake when we got there. Started off on the North bank and caught the first one on a crank bait trolling about 2.0. Great day... we caught our limit of rainbows by 10:30 and went hunting for bass and walleye.
Caught one fat SM in the little bay by the railroad tracks. First cast, so we tried that for a while and that was the only one that wanted to even bite. We tried for walleye after that. nothing...
Only bad part. Lost my old tan Stetson cowboy hat. My lucky hat to boot. It's a felt hat. If anybody finds it, just PM me and I'll come get it.
I wondered where everyone took off too. The water was lovely and the weather really nice.
