Carp at Willard?
#1
Anybody seeing any carp in the shallows at Willard? Still trying to get some with my bow. Any help on what part of the lake would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I saw a dead one with a hole in the head in freeway bay, so apparently somebody is finding them. [:p]

We did see a few live ones splashing around on the SE side of freeway bay in the vegetation.

He can't shoot in the marina. Shame though that would be easy picking. [Wink]

[#0000FF]Should be gangbusters around the weedy edges Friday and Saturday this week. Water temps today were headed toward the magic 65 degree number. Only gonna get better...for a couple of days.

We saw lots of subsurface cruisers all over the lake today. And saw a few starting to get frisky in the weeds around Eagle Beach.

Thank you everyone for the info. I went up a couple Fridays ago but it was when we had the windstorm so the waves were crashing in at eagle beach. Sounds like another trip for me tomorrow.

When I was out there last Wednesday (4th) before the weekend storm hit, the edges all along the south wall from the south marina outlet to the weed line just past the feedlot were alive with Carp doing their happy slappy dance. With the recent warmer weather, I'd bet they are back
