Lake Toho (Tohopekaliga)
Fishing Report
by: Captain Chuck Matthews
800-936-7398
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com
CaptainChuck@centralfloridabassfishing.com

Well, I was right with all the nice whether. Fishing has improved a lot. There are fish on beds and also working bait both on the inside shallow water and the open water.

The locks are still open and there are fish by Southport locks; both on the entrance to Southport and in the open water outside of Southport. To be honest, I think whatever your method is for bass fishing, you can catch fish now. It is also a good time to try other methods to increase your fishing ability and gain more confidence in trying other lures and techniques. Good areas for open water also include in front of Grassy Island and South Steer. There are a lot of inside fish on the west side of the lake.

They have been using chemicals to spray the north end of Toho and have said not to eat any fish. Also, there is a barge with a weed eater on Toho. It is planting orange trees as fish attractants, which is a great thing. I think they are planting over 80 places on the lake. When working a spinner bait, a stop and go with variation of speed is the way to go make the bait be erotic to attract more hits.

See ya next week,

Captain Chuck Matthews
Pro Bass Guide
A1 Action Bass Fishing Guides' Professional Services
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com

Captain Chuck Matthews 800-936-7398
